Jaswinder from Patiala (Ritesh Deshmukh) goes to the U.S. with dreams of settling there. He meets the beautiful and sexy Sally Turner (Brande Rodericks) and befriends her and she falls for him. He asks her for help for his visa extension. Sally is happy to oblige, but utters four magical words, "Will you marry me?" Jimmy agrees and the two get married in a church.

Back home in Punjab, Jimmy's father, Jatta Singh Bedi (Amrish Puri) has made plans for his marriage to Richa (Hrishita Bhatt). He manages to return to America but trouble follows soon in the form of Richa and Jatta Singh. They suddenly land up in the country.
